What this collection is a picture of. The engine is never asked for it and has no field it can write that changes it: every prompt it returns is treatment, and this sentence is prepended. Leaving the collection is not refused, it is unreachable.
What winning looks like, separate from the subject. The engine carries this into every turn as operator_anchor and pursues it when deciding what to change — so a goal that asks the image to "discover its own subject" will keep leaving whatever subject you set.
A hard cap, measured on the words. Above it the revision is discarded and the direction is left alone. Lifted automatically when the collection collapses or you call the run off-course, because both are deliberate jumps.
The subject. Written as prose, read by T5, which has room for about 500 tokens — so it can afford to be specific.
Craft, not subject. Light, chroma, surface, composition — the clauses that decide whether it reads as a photograph or a render.
Name faults, never objects. “Lantern” here removes the lantern; “lit from four directions at once” removes the flatness. Only a quality can be safely pushed away.
